1st International Islamic Art Festival
The 1st International Islamic Art Festival, held in Lahore, marked a landmark event celebrating the profound heritage of Islamic art. Scheduled for 2021, the festival brought together distinguished calligraphers and artists from 17 nations. Organized in collaboration with IRCICA, the event garnered global acclaim under the visionary leadership of renowned calligrapher Irfan Qureshi and the thoughtful curation of Safeer Qureshi.
The festival featured a dynamic array of workshops, providing attendees the opportunity to explore diverse artistic expressions such as calligraphy, miniature art, ceramic art, and the traditional Turkish art of ebru (marbling). This celebration of creativity and tradition not only showcased the vibrancy of Islamic art but also reaffirmed Lahore’s status as a prominent hub for cultural and artistic excellence in Pakistan.
