Irfan Ahmad Qureshi: A Visionary in Calligraphy and Islamic Art

With over 35 years of experience, Irfan Ahmad Qureshi is a celebrated master of calligraphy and Islamic art. Renowned for his expertise in Arabic calligraphic scripts, he earned the title “Safeer-e-Khattati” from Punjab University, Lahore. His work also extends to the intricate art of Texhip (illumination), blending tradition with modernity.

As an educator, Qureshi has taught at the National College of Arts, Lahore, and other prestigious institutions, while also serving as the Project Director of the Mushaf-e-Pakistan Quran Project. He co-founded Hast-o-Neest Institute and leads the Muqla Centre of Art, dedicated to preserving traditional arts.

Qureshi’s art has been showcased worldwide, earning him numerous accolades. His contributions to landmark exhibitions and conferences, such as Sarir-e-Khama and the International Islamic Arts Festival, highlight his commitment to promoting Islamic art globally.

Currently, Qureshi continues to inspire through projects like the Quran manuscript and architectural calligraphy while publishing works like Kelk-e-Khursheed and Fann-ul-Qalam. His dedication to the arts ensures his legacy as one of the most influential calligraphists of our time.
